Camp Carey 2016

Over the past week and a half, I have been really busy but ever so grateful. One of my many blessings was that I was able to be a facilitator (read: camp counselor) at not just one, but TWO camp sessions! I met so many wonderful incoming freshmen and I am so glad I was able to share some of the things I have learned so far. Unfortunately, I can't find any non-blurry photos from the first session, but here are some from the second one.

Stress Tested: CHI Dry Shampoo

As some of you might have seen on my SnapChat late last week, I was a camp counselor at Camp Carey! My co-facilitator and I were responsible for leading 10 freshmen through team-building activities and getting them pumped for school to start later this week!

Anyways, as from the name you might have thought "Oh wow, she went into the woods?" Yes. Yes I did. I was pestered by bugs quite a bit despite my endless use of bug spray but I survived! Being in the middle of a forest is not so great for the hair when you're constantly running around long before sun up and long after sun down.

Right before I left for camp I received the CHI Dry Shampoo from Seventeen and haphazardly threw it into my camp bag to test out at camp. The routine at camp was to shower the night before or the morning of, and then dry shampoo halfway through the day because the weather was slightly awful.

Brining along the CHI Dry Shampoo actually turned out to be a great decision! Being able to stress test this product in the forest really sold me on it. Over the past few months, I had been shopping around for a new dry shampoo because my hair doesn't seem to be responding to my old one anymore - Seventeen really had my back on this one!
