Adulthood and Adventuring

Happy Hump Day, y'all!

I'm on the road right now to head back down to Tempe to start getting ready for training and school! My siblings just started their next year of high school and because it's a weekday, I'm going on my own with about half of my stuff and my family will come with rest on the weekend.

Coming and being home this summer has actually been an experience all its own. My little sister is usually the one known for being more independent, but I think my first year of college plus the time I spent in Europe really has helped me to mature and grow as a person. I feel a little less scared of the world and the future, and it's great! Of course I'm still a bit apprehensive about the school year with everything I have going on, but I feel more inclined to smile and think I can take it on.

That feeling is what inspired this post. It is a shorter one than usual (for the record: this was intentional, not a result of procrastination, I swear!), because I want to turn the tables and hear from y'all!

How has your summer been?
What is your current summer jam?
What's the most exciting thing you've done this vacation?
Are you ready to take on the next step in your life?
What is something you're looking forward to do today?

I can't wait to read your answers!

xx
Catch you next time.

  7. My summer has gone well so far. We spend a bit better than a week in Zanzibar, Tanzania. My summer jam is Michael Jackson's Thriller. I had a change to revisit the album on the way to Zanzibar and it's been stuck in my head ever since. I had a chance to visit key places in world history. It was truly something. For the remainder of the year, I intend to hone my blog's presence, finish my research project, and relax.

No "big steps" for me this year!

  20. I totally feel the same way! I feel as though I'm becoming less scared, but at the same time I'm a bit nervous about moving back to school and RA training. But we got this girlie, don't worry!

  21. Wishing you safe travels!

I have been having a great summer, but I've found that summers are less exciting when you're working full time, and summer break is no longer a thing. My summer jam has definitely been "Raised on it" by Sam Hunt!

  23. What a fun spin! My summer's been pretty good, traveled a few times, can't complain! I guess I like Major Lazer's "Lean On" as my summer jam. I'm post-grad and work a 9-5 so I don't really feel like I've gotten a "vacation" haha, but I can't complain!
